Community Guidelines
The rules of the square.
ThumbConnect is a public square - not a social network.
There are no followers, no likes, and no popularity ranking. You arrive with nothing, do something, and leave whenever you want. Come freely, participate freely, leave freely.
The square provides the opportunities. You decide what those interactions mean and what happens after. These guidelines keep the square usable and fair.
Be real
- Use your nickname - picked or assigned. Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are.
- Post in good faith. What you share should be genuinely yours to share.
Keep it legal and humane
- No illegal content.
- No harassment, threats, or defamation.
- No content that violates someone else's rights.
Do not break the square
- No spamming or flooding.
- No automated scripts or bots that disrupt the place.
- Do not try to break, probe, or compromise the service.
Use the right card
Each card does one thing. A question for advice goes in Ask. An item to give, lend, trade, or show goes in Share. Finding people to do something goes in Connect. If a conversation keeps coming back, it may deserve its own board in Discuss.
Boards are self-run
Anyone can open a board and run it. The person who created a board moderates it - they can remove topics and replies and ban nicknames from their own board only. A creator may delete their board, including the discussions within it. Each board sets its own culture.
If you do not like a room, leave it. You are responsible for where you spend your time.
ThumbConnect's role
ThumbConnect provides the place. It does not judge quality, and it does not pick sides in ordinary disagreements. We enforce a technical floor - stopping spam and automated abuse - and we act on serious, platform-wide problems like illegal content or a compromised board. Everything else is between the people involved.
Reporting
If something violates these guidelines, use the Report button. A report records the concern; it does not remove content by itself.
Private arrangements stay private
When you respond to a Share listing or a Connect invitation, your note goes privately to the author. Keep contact details where they belong - in private notes, not in public posts.
